It seems every year for the past 5 years different cedar fair parks have gotten new food offerings, restaurants, bars, revamped menus, and even food and wine like events. This year we have new restaurants opening at Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, and Canada's Wonderland.
It seems not too long ago CF parks had boring food and lackluster restaurants in terms of theming and interior. Now the food is better and the venues are cleaner and nicer looking.
Do you guys think food at these parks is getting better?
It's interesting, last time I was at Cedar Point we ended up opting to get Melt instead of the park food directly, which was delicious but probably not a great idea for a meal before a day of riding coasters. The only Cedar Fair park I've been too a few times in the last few years is Knott's which I've always loved the food at, Mrs Knotts Chicken Dinner is the perfect end to a theme park day. The fact Cedar Point is removing the vintage cars for a restaurant points to them taking food more seriously which is great to see, I think we're past the stage of seeing theme park food as just burgers and hot dogs which I love, those are probably the worst foods to eat before going on rides.
I feel a lot of parks, especially those run by regional operators, are trying to move away from the idea that theme park food is notoriously bad value and a nasty quality. Good to see Cedar Fair making an effort to change this!
