No, this post is not to promote the anniversary of Disney+. Ratger, criticizing it.
The reason why I say this is because it seems like Disney+ day in the parks. Apparently was managed better than WDW's 50th.
They apparently did better at giving out guests Disney+ hats that look ok, but makes you a walking billboard. Than celebrating the most Iconic achievement.
I'm just sad as a Disney parks fan that they care more about their streaming servjce than the guests at the parks. It's sad that Disney+'s Premier Access, IS THE LITERAL TITLE OF EURO DISNEYLAND'S FASTPASS!!
It's sad to see how a blu carpet at Disneyland, littered with leaves and foot prints. Has a larger budget than the 50th or Avengers Campus.
Sad that thaley care more about those running the platform, rather than those running the parks.
They are a corporation, but they had more standards back then than they do now.
No original attractions, commecialized meet & greets and events.
Might as well build a Hot Topic that's themed to NBC at Downtown Disney. Just to shill to that market.
Might as well build a mall inside Disneyland Park that you can't access unless you pay hundreds and get lucky on the reservation system.
It seemed like Disney+ is good for those who like some of the movies and shows on there.
However, it seems its tarnishing the parks more than ever.
All I hope is that the larks can deserve more respect.
As the parks were integral, but left to the casm.
It was crazy to me to see them do more for a promotional event for Disney + than they did for the 50th anniversary day of Walt Disney World. My guess is that a lot of this was essentially paid for by the Disney + branch of the company, but it's still not a good look at all.
One thing to understand about Disney is that right now Disney+ is the main thing shareholders who are investing in the company are focusing on as they seek out the next Netflix. As a result Disney is more focused right now on promoting the positives of their streaming services than their own parks 50th Anniversary not because they think its what the fans want to see but because its what Wall Street wants to see.
The idea of Disney+ day is very frustrating to me. You can see straight through Disney on this one and I guarantee that if they saw any increase in the service's uptake then they will absolutely make this a regular thing.
